Upgrading your workshop facilities in ARC Raiders is vital for surviving tough encounters and unlocking advanced crafting blueprints. One essential resource players quickly run out of is Rusted Tools, which are necessary for leveling up key workstations like the Gunsmith. Knowing where to focus your scavenging efforts will save you countless hours of wandering through dangerous zones.
Understanding Loot Categories and Container Types
Rusted Tools belong primarily to the Mechanical and Industrial loot classifications in ARC Raiders. When searching through buildings, target red toolboxes, metal crates, and tall red lockers that line workshop floors. Scanning the environment for breachable containers and abandoned vehicles often yields great results as well.
Top Farming Spots on Dam Battlegrounds
Dam Battlegrounds serves as the most accessible map for acquiring mechanical crafting supplies consistently. The Primary Facility Loading Bay and the Scrapyard are premier locations packed with lootable vehicle hoods and industrial crates. Additionally, exploring Water Treatment Control provides multiple floors of mechanical storage bins with relatively safe extraction points nearby.
High-Risk Locations on Spaceport and Blue Gate
For players willing to face higher enemy activity, the Spaceport map features dense loot zones. Searching the Vehicle Maintenance building and nearby Container Storage warehouses guarantees numerous interactions with high-tier mechanical containers. Over on The Blue Gate, raiding the Warehouse Complex and Adorned Wreckage offers solid alternatives if you prefer a different tactical layout.
Tips to Maximize Your Scavenging Efficiency
To ensure you do not lose your hard-earned materials during extraction, always utilize your Safe Pockets for critical items like Rusted Tools. Equipping a larger backpack allows you to hoard additional secondary items like Rusted Gears or Bolts during a single run. Planning a direct route between two adjacent industrial points before calling for extraction keeps your survival chances high.
